What is the one thing we all love and desire to have but despise it the instant we get it?
If you said money people, you would be correct.
Everyone has their woes about money, this is not a new issue. Everyone who has every has to pay bills with their hard earned cash from their job that they resent going to can definitely agree with me when I say that the main cause off all my stress it the greenbacks!
With more money becomes more responsibility. Keep that in mind. The same can be said about age as well. When you start your first job, either it being in High School or afterwards, you always want something that will cost you. Typically, it is always the "Cell Phone". With the phone comes the dreaded bill. Next thing you know, you $200 check for those few hours your worked over the last 2 weeks has now dwindled down to have $50 left. But that's not it. Flash 2 years down the road, better job, more money, wow I got a car now. You think you are untouchable. Except when after cell phone is paid and insurance and gas for the car have been taken out of your income and your left flat broke. Now your the kid with the cool car and the celly and no money to do anything in that new, sweet car.
I could on about that all day and just mention more of my personal experiences, but that could go on for awhile.
Instead I would like to shift the focus and try to put myself in a better mood, because the way I am feeling now about money makes me want to punch 132 holes in the walls here at work. But like I said, lets move on.
What happened to the care free days where money wasn't an object and only heard your parents bitching about. The times when you got a quarter or a dollar and thought you were set. Then you spent that money on Candy or a dollar store toy and didn't care that it was gone. Even when that cheap ass toy broke into 15 pieces in the first hours of play time, you didn't care. You were a little kid and did not have the pressures as you do now.
I miss those care free days. As cool as it feels now to be able to splurge $100 here and there, it would be a lot better to have the best of both worlds. Like maybe free money. Or even better, incentives! Like we could reform the government to make it that we all get free money to do whatever we want with on a monthly basis. It could be called the "Splurge Stimulus". Each person who is employed will get $200, no matter what the rank of jobs are. People who are unemployed will get $100. Sounds fair enough.
I know most of you are going, "Wow this guy is talking out of his ass right now". Guess what? I am. I just wanted to show you the prime example that is wrong with our country right now. You have almost everybody in this country, not to knock it or anything, because I love America, but almost everybody is living their life for money and is driven by money and their common goal is, you got it, MONEY!
But again this is something that we cannot control. Money is the root of all evil and there will never be enough. It is just our human nature to let money run us. That's just how it is in today's society. Who has the better close, faster cars, and the newer toys.
I just want to share a quick experience with you before I wrap it up today.
I was watching MTV this morning and "True Life" was on. The episode was titled, I believe, but don't quote me, "I am moving to America". This was a great episode. The main person in the show was a 21 year old boy from Botswana who had to immigrate to a refugee camp in Thailand. Him, his mom, his dad, and his 4 other siblings shared a little hut that was the size of the average living room. They slept on floors and were naturally cramped. Well to speed it up a bit, they boy found a program through some US government organization that moved his family to America and put them up in an apartment and got them started with jobs.
The 21 year old boy, Timothy, was aspiring to go to an American college and hope hopes and dreams. But was hit hard when he was told that he would have to get a job and support his family. He did not know 100% positive on what this meant. So his instructor, through the organization, sat down with him and his dad to balance out monthly bills. Their bills were totaling up to be $2,500 or something close to that. Timothy got a job slaving at a pickle factory but still aspired to go to school. But no funds were available to do so.
But that cool that he got him and his family over here. But this is the part where you can relate this story to my blog. Timothy was quoted saying after working for a month, that he was regretting coming to America.
This just goes to show you that again, Money is the route of all evil. This kid came to the States with a dream, and he was focused, but when the harsh reality of American living kicked him in the face, he wished that he could go back to his refugee camp, where he was told what to do, made to sleep on the dirt covered floors with 7 total people in a hut the size of our living rooms. Now if someone who has came from nothing, I mean nothing, cannot even come over here and deal with the simple stress of money and make best with what they have, what makes us do it without fleeing or blowing our brains out?
I would like to thank you for reading this because it did calm me down a lot to be able get this off my chest. So I will leave you like I always do, with the following quote. A simple lyric that no one probably hears in the song, but I do. Its from, "The Verve", "Bittersweet Symphony" written by lead singer, Richard Ashcroft.
~Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life. Try to make ends meet, You're a slave to money then you die~

In General......
In general, I think there are a few issues that need to be brought forth.
So let me go on the same level and dance around the subject at matter.
When people blasphemously call out their so called "Friends", maybe even, "Best Friends", depending on where I stand in your case, I don't know, I think its pretty ridiculous. Well here is a response blog for you. So with that said, I don't know where my friendship will be in the distant future either.
When you spend all of your time trying to keep peace with someone because how they run off at the mouth to their, so called, "Best Friends", always saying, "Well fuck you then" or "Well, if you don't like it, you can get the fuck out of my house" or even this, "Well, I did this, and I don't care what you think about it." Last time I checked, you don't talk to friends like this. Then when someone calls you out about it, you can't see the wrong that you have done, or even more on how you are alienating your relationships with again, your so called, "Best Friends". When your main argument is, "Oh, well you guys do the same thing". Guess what? Your right to an extent. It is all cool to joke with friends and have a good time, but when out of no where you have the gall to talk to, again, your so called, "Best Friends", it the manner mentioned above, it is just uncalled for and show me that your priorities are mixed up.
Here's another thing! To constantly HATE on someone no matter what the circumstances are, has to be one of the worst things you can do. Especially when your hating on something that someone has, that you cannot even compete with? How fucked is that? To HATE on someone in this extent, is straight jealousy. When someone tries to give you props about something, and you twist it to a diss toward that person, and call them egotistical, these are fighting words my friend. Look in the fucking mirror before you throw out some shit like that, whether its a joke or not, or if it was meant that way, it doesn't matter. It was said that way.
I just cannot believe that people can stick their nose where it doesn't belong. Stay out of my personal fucking business, because you don't know the extent of shit, the situation or even for that fact, its not your place to even get an explanation!!!
I have had high hopes for you my friend. I have been there for you for everything. Even been like a little brother to me. But with your actions toward, your so called, "Best Friends", it has me second guessing about even associating with you.
Let me leave you with this my friend!
Think about this. Think about all your birthday parties and who exactly was there for you. Who actually got you something for your birthday. You spend all your time trying to please your lower tier friends. Those friends that show up for 20 minutes and drank the free beer, and those who say their on the way and never show up, that you actually forget who is always there. Who has spent countless nights doing shit just chilling with you, not using you for the parties you have thrown. It really makes me think that you are taking OUR friendship for granted.
I want you to not shrug this off. I want you to take this to heart and hopefully you can build off this and really make a change toward how you treat your, so called, "Best Friends". Because if you do not my friend, you will truly lose the friends that really actually care about you and not use you for shit like the others do.

Detroit Sports
Detroit Sports. Not a very good situation we have brewing here.
It seems like the only thing we have going for us is the Wings.
So first off, lets start with My Detroit Tigers. I know I am the worlds biggest fan of the Tigs, but I mean come on! Do something. So far this off season the Tigers have done just what they said they were going to do, and this disappoints me! Dombrowski sits up there and states that we are not going for any upper level guys this off-season. Which in turn, has proved to be true. We have added 2 mediocre defensive catchers, who cannot swing a bat. A sloppy starting pitcher via a trade with Tampa, sending a promising young left handed bat, Matt Joyce away. Not to mention that his defense was stellar. Adam Everett. Not to rip on the guy, he is a great defensive player, which is good, because God knows that Renteria sucked it up last year, but with Inge playing third this year, that means that the left side of our infield will be batting an average .210.
All I am asking from the Tigers are to go out and throw a little money toward a bullpen. I swear that if Fernando Rodney is our closer this year. I am committing suicide. I cannot watch another season where we blow 20+ games in the 7th inning or later. This is my suggestion for them. Go bring in Derek Lowe, so our starting rotation would be as followed;
1. Verlander
2. Derek Lowe
3. Gallaraga
4. Bondo
5. Edwin Jackson
That would leave out bullpen as followed;
Bobby Seay, Nate Robertson, Zach Miner, Freddy Dolsi (If he can stop blowing it), Fernando Rodney (as 7th inning guy), Joel Zumaya (Setup), CLOSER???
Ahhhhh, the closing role. Please, Please, Please bring in someone. I will seriously be happy with Trevor Hoffman, since DumBrowski traded Joyce for Jackson instead of Joyce for Putz.
But I have faith for the Tigers. As long as they find a closer. With all the power bats and great defense they have in line now. I think they could make a playoff push. I just wish they would trade Sheff to the Rangers for some more bullpen help and then sign my fav, Ken Griffey Jr. to play DH. But with Illitch screaming hes going broke, I don't see anything pricey going down.
Now lets move to the Pistons.
Ever since they have obtained A.I. from Denver for the heart and soul of our team, Chauncy Billups. I have seen a collapse. Now I don't watch too much basketball, but I follow the highlights enough to know a stupid move when I see one. How could you trade a clutch performer, in Billups for a proven cancer in A.I. Now I know A.I. can be a great player, believe me I know. But if your plan is to win Championships, how do you make that move? There is no way Detroit is getting past the first Round of the playoffs, this year. That's if they even make it.
All those stupid rumors about the 2 year plan. That is ignorant. For those that don't know what I'm talking about, the deal is, that in 2 years when A.I.s contract is up and so is RIPs. The Pistons are going to sign LeBron James. I'm sorry, but LeBron will not come to Detroit. He will do 1 of 3 things. Re-sign with Cleveland, go to the Knicks, or what I believe he will do, that no one else is talking about, I believe that he will go out west. Think about it. He is a BIG TIME celebrity and would fit fine with LA. I just see that happening.
Now if that was Joe Ds thinking. Waiting for LeBron. Then getting rid of Billups was a pretty stupid idea, and which this will probably make the Pistons look more like the Detroit Lions.
And that is my final topic.
The Detroit Lions.
I used to be the Lions biggest fan. Never missed a game. But after last year, I was done. Like a really bad break up. I parted ways. Even this pre-season when they went 4-0 and everybody was like uh oh, "You better watch out for those Lions!" I knew it was a fluke. First off, when you are playing in pre-season folks, its really not your objective to win. Now don't get me wrong, "You Play To Win the Game!" But it is really to evaluate and know what you have for the season. This is what got me. When your secondary is made up of washed up nobodies and never-will-bes. You have a major issue. Prime example; I had a buddy who was trying to tell me that the Lions were going to go 8-8. LOL. We argued everyday at work. Finally, I asked him., "Can you name me 1 person out of the Lions secondary? Without using the Internet." He then went on to name of people such as Frenando Bryant and a few other nobodies that were not on the team anymore. So finally, once I reassured him that our secondary was as weak as Dustin Diamond, he seen a little bit of the light. Get this! He does not talk Lions to me no more. Hmmmmmmmm. Whys that? Oh yea, there on the verge of going 0-16, which is what I call perfection. Oh, I mean, Imperfection.
But here are a few bright spots.
I like the defensive front of the Lions. Ernie Simms will be a Hall Of Famer. He is a good LB. I see Shaun Cody doing great things on the field in the future as well as Clif Avril. Give a little credit to the O-Line. They are starting to come together. I think? Oh well. Knowing that the Lions got the 1st overall draft pick in next years draft, I will leave it up to the Fords to mess that one up. Because realistically, that's who's running the team. Just sell the team to some smuck so they can attempt to turn it around. Because you are not doing anything. I am officially jumping on the Sam Bradford train for next year. No, No, No, not hoping that the Lions will draft him. Hoping that he will go back to school so he does not have a dreaded NFL career with the Lions.
But lets be a little more realistic. The Lions actually have a decent chance for next year. Not only do they have the 1st overall pick, they will also have the Cowboys 1st overall pick that they received in the trade for Roy Williams. I say we draft a nice young QB at #1 and use the other pick for a DB and not a WR!!!!!!! Then you can add another DB in free agency and your a playoff team. With a good coaching staff that is. If the staff does not change, you will be looking at another lousy team next year. Bring in Bill Cower. Although he will be in Cleveland next year. I just admire him as a Head Coach and would love to see him turn our team around.
That's it for my Detroit Sports Blog. Hope you all enjoyed.

Reminiscing
Do you guys ever catch yourself reminiscing? I know I do.
Remember when life was care-free and money wasn't an issue and your biggest worries in life was not being able to stay the night at your friends house because you did something to piss of your mom?
I find myself reminiscing a lot here lately.
I would just love to jump into a Time Machine and take it back 10 years or so. Back when I was 13 and the joys of adulthood were not so overwhelming that you thought frequently that you cannot go on in day to day life. I miss the worry-less days, staying out all night playing television tag under the stars or playing with G.I. Joes in the front yard and making little contraptions for them. I miss gathering up all the neighborhood kids and playing baseball and full contact football, even though you would always leave with something that you thought was broken. I miss hanging out with all my best friends and talking like little boys do about little girls and then when they come around, you clam up quicker than White Supremacist in the middle of Harlem, and then bully the girls. I miss those short distance bus rides home, that actually seemed like hours on the way to and from school. Speaking of school, I miss going to school everyday and eating the terrible school lunches that were awesome at the time because mom did not pack you a PB&J with some Pringles. Recess, ah, Recess. Some of the best times ever. This is when you got to go wild as hell at school with hardly no adult supervision and cuss like a sailor and not get a "Whoopin" or get the dreaded bar of soap. Too an extent, I even miss getting bullied by the upper class men and then in turn bullying back the under class men.
I often catch myself reminiscing about my family situation as a child. Not to say that my situation right now is horrible, but what could have been different? Could I've not grow up wanting to kick my brothers ass everyday? Could I have developed a closer relationship with my dad? Would I have treated my mom a little bit different, and not put her through so much hell? And what type of life would I have now, if all of those things would have been different? Once again to reiterate, not that I would change my life a bit right now, But in the back of my mind, there is always that, "What If?" And could have any slight change throw off who I am today?
With all that said, I would not change who I am today in the slightest bit. I have learned never to dwell on the past, but to in turn, think about all the good things you have done and all the great people who have came into your life, some still here, some not and never-the-less, family will always be family no matter what. Even if you resent the ones that you love and that are near and dear to your heart. You will always forgive and forget.
So next time you are setting at your table, crunching those numbers and trying to make a dollar out of fifteen cents, thinkin you will never get those bills paid, just remember there is always that bright spot to look back on. Its called childhood.
Just when you think that you are down and out, God lifts you up and puts you back in the game.
Thanks for reading my first Blogspot post. And remember this;
